How is your theme reflected in your song or production?
My song talks about the anxiety and loneliness of being thrust into the spotlight. While I haven't personally experienced this, it encompasses how I imagine it'd feel to be in the spotlight. Some parts of the song are reflective of my own experiences, and other parts are more speculative. Another thing I consider is how genuine people are in the spotlight, whether they're being true to themselves or acting a certain way to appear more likable or relatable. This song is almost like exploring my identity and how I'd feel if I were to one day be under the spotlight.
How did this project impact you?
This project gave me a lot of insight into hip-hop songwriting, arranging, and production. Before starting this project, I was entirely new to these facets of hip-hop creation. Exploring the topic of identity was also eye-opening, and I discovered more of my creative and artistic side when focusing on my identity.
